Greenville Community Votes 2024 Platinum Award For Web Design & Gold Award For Marketing
Brand identity sets you apart from your competition. Whether you are a new company or an established business, branding services can kick your business up a notch in the eyes of your customers.
I'm going to go ahead and assume that you know what brand these shoes are, even if they don't have the word Nike visible anywhere on them.
Why? Because of their branding. Here are the principles that Nike (and every other business with successful marketing) are using to achieve brand awareness and loyalty:
Visually Cohesive Designs - What if Nike was always re-evaluating the shape of their signature swoosh? What if they changed from their familiar bold, blocky font to a dainty serif font? It would be disorienting, wouldn't it? Logos, fonts, and color schemes should be consistent throughout your website and all social media platforms to boost brand recognition.
Audience Targeting - Speak to your ideal customer through your branding! If you own a cupcake shop and your ideal customer is a bride shopping for wedding cupcakes, your branding would look quite different than if your ideal customer was a mom shopping for birthday cupcakes.
Consistent Voice - The copy on your website, blog, and social media should all be written in a consistent "voice". Voice is the style and tone of your communication. Is your voice conversational? formal? medical? How do you want to come across to your customers? Once you have determined what "voice" you want to use, make sure to keep it consistent on all platforms.
Good Storytelling - Good storytelling builds connection and trust, communicates your core values, and sparks interest in your company.
A 'Hook' Concept - Your brand's hook is the thing that sets you apart from your competition and gets people to remember you. It's not a gimmick, just the opposite: it's 100% authentically you. My "hook" is that I am a mom of 4, and I put my mom energy into helping businesses succeed with beautiful websites and brand identities. It's right there in the name: Web Momster. A tagline with two juxtaposed ideas is an example of a memorable hook. My tagline is "Modern Web Design Meets Mom Energy". What do these two things have to do with each other? Not much, and that's the point! That's the brand identity that makes my business authentically me.
